Marilyn Schock, COO of University of Colorado Health – North, has been involved in healthcare for almost 30 years. She is an inspiration to all in her progression from Occupational Therapist to Chief Operations Officer. Marilyn began her career with Banner Health in the 1980’s as a staff occupational therapist after her graduation from Colorado State University. Marilyn has had several different roles as Director of Rehabilitation Services, Regional Director of Managed Care Operations, and Executive Director of Mountain Shadows Medical Association, Associate Administrator at both McKee Medical Center and North Colorado Medical Center and CEO at McKee Medical Center. She was hired as COO of University of Colorado Health – Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies in August of 2014.
Marilyn’s education includes an Associate of Applied Science degree from Northwest College in 1982, a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 1985, and an MBA from Colorado State University in 2002.
Marilyn’s involvement in the community is exemplary. She served as the Chair and Board Member for the Loveland Chamber of Commerce Board and is currently on the Sunrise Community Health Board of Directors, Go NOCO Board and the CFMC Board of Directors. She was a 2012 co-chair for Larimer County United Way. Marilyn is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Occupational Therapy Association. Marilyn is very aware of the value of corporate citizenship and leads the delivery of healthcare with that in mind for our communities.
Marilyn was born and raised in Cody, Wyoming. She enjoys travel, outdoor activities, the mountains, gardening, her dog and family.
